Imperial Gaurd Commandos

If you've ever played the game Command & Conquer, then you know that in the third level the GDI, (at least in the demo) you get to use this commando who kills everyone, and insults all the way. He gave me an idea for Imperial Gaurd veterans who are like the classic war vet.

The Imperium has dicovered and settled many Deathworlds, planets which are so dangerous that it is almost impossible to sustain life. These places also tend to be one of the best sites to recruit Imperial Guard cadets. This is because the naturaly deadly environments make the inhabitants tough and half-trained already.

Possibly the most famous of these Deathworlds is the jungle world of Catachan. Imperial settlers lamded here thinking it was a peaceful, tropical planet. Little did they know that it was one of the most dangerous worlds ever discovered! Everything on Catachan is a carnivore. Settlements will not last for long. But he harsh environment makes the people of Catachan naturally tough, and it produces arguably the best jungle/sabotage troops in the whole Imperium.

During the war against the Waaaaagh! Zortgrog on the Imperial Jungle world of Dakkon 3, the veterans regiments of the Catachan Jungle Fighters, or "Commandos" were instrumental in Grak Zortgrog's eventual defeat. They infiltrated into the Ork's jungle lair, and set so many melta- bombs that the entire base was blown up, and the smoke could be seen for miles around. Evil Sunz found there bikes smoldering wrecks where they had been operational just seconds before. The stealth and ingenuity of the Commandos has gained them galaxy-wide reknown, and they are the ultimate acheivement for a Catachan.
