Necrontyr Infiltration of the Imperium

Inquisitor Mandius,

I do not feel comfortable sending this report to my fellow Priests, and so I have directed it to you. I trust you to do the right thing in informing those who must be informed.

Recently I have been receiving more and more specimens of Necrontyr. These are detailed elsewhere in an addendum to the Necrontyr Drones report, but one in particular has worried me.

I am referring to the drones known as "Flayers" or "the Flayed Ones." This name is in reference to the skin they have flayed off of their victims and placed on their own metallic bodies. In many cases this can produce a very convincing "replica" of a person, convincing enough, in fact, that they can travel the Imperium without anyone realizing they are inhuman.

I have also gained possession of specimens with artificial skin. Again, they form a perfect resemblance to a person.

These would not be normally thought to be much of a concern, but for one chilling fact. I have had seven Necrontyr specimens sent to me that were disguised as Imperial officers, soldiers, or workers of some sort. The surprising thing about this is that three of them have been identified as a prominent TechMagos, and two TechPriests working within the Biologis.

There are aliens walking among us, wearing our faces. I cannot tell what their purpose is, for I do not yet know. But it troubles me to know this is happening.

I pray that you can do something with this knowledge. I fear that I cannot trust my own fellows within the Adeptus Mechanicus.

I thank you for your aid.
