[Being a study on the methods and culture of the Orkoid races]

Evil Sunz

The Evil Sunz are irresistibly attracted towards fast vehilces and loud noise. This is a common trait among Orks, but especially pronounced in the Evil Sunz. They are constantly tinkering with the engines of their bikes and buggies, trying to get as much speed out of them as possible. Not surprisingly the Evil Sunz have many Mekaniaks, because Mekboyz are indispensable when it comes to keeping vehicles in running order.

The totem of the clan is a blood red Ogryn face grinning out of a sunburst. Evil Sunz wear red clothes and often paint their machines red too - firmly believing in the old proverbs that "red wunz go fasta'" and "if it's red den no one's catch up wiv' ya."

The Evil Sunz are especially noted for their "bikeboyz," who ride large and very noisy Ork warbikes. They dress in leathers marked with the Evil Sunz insignia, bedecked with chains and belt harnesses. Their foreheads are often decorated with metal studs screwed directly into their thick skulls!

Squadron:  The Squadron consists of 3 to 5 Ork Warbikes.

Weapons:  Twin Linked Big Shootas.

Options:  Some Warbikes are stripped of their Big Shootas and their riders fight as pure assault troops instead.  In this case the Warbikes cost 20 points and the riders are armed with Sluggas and additional close combat weapons.

Character:  At an additional cost of +22 points one of the bikers may be upgraded to a Nob.  The Nob may be given additional equipment allowed by the Ork armoury with the exception of Mega Armour.

Special Rules

Short Ranged:  The bouncing, rattling progress of Warbikes is not conducive to hitting accurately at long range.  Therefore the Warbikes' Big Shootas are limited to a maximum range of 18".

Hard to Hit:  As Warbikes careen across the battlefield they kick up vast quantities of dust and oily exhaust fumes.  This gives them a 5+ Saving Throw as if they were in cover.  Furthermore, if an enemy shoots through a unit of Warbikes to hit another Ork unit behind it, the Ork unit behind counts as in cover too.  The Warbikes' pollution cover has no effect in close combat.

Psycho Blastas: In an assault warbikers use their Big Shootas to blast the enemy at point blank range, breaking through their lines in a storm of shells and shrapnel. This means that Ork Warbikes charging into close combat strike first and make a shooting attack on the enemy in the first round instead of fighting normally.   (ie, roll 3 dice, hitting on a 5+ but with a reroll to hit, any hits are resolved with a Strength of 5).  Once the Warbikes have resolved their shots their opponents may fight back.
